For these last 3, I just happened to have my camera nearby, and the lighting was good, so I snapped a few and got lucky.  That serious face and that sweet little profile...

Annie is 10 months old!!  Actually, creeping up very quickly on 11 months...eeesh.
So, some 10-month Annie stats (for me mostly!):

She has said "mama", "mum-mum", "papa" (once), "yes" (i think), and I think that's about it.  And she hasn't said any of them recently...haha.

Crawls like crazy, but not walking just yet.  She can pull herself up on furniture and walk holding on, she can climb onto the couch, and she can walk when I hold her hand.  But I can tell she is getting a bit more brave.  She will squat down and stand back up all by herself, without holding on.  Just waiting for that first step...which could be months, but seems like she might take it any day now.

She is such a good eater...LOVES food.  Eggs, yogurt, toast with cream cheese, green peas, pasta with pesto,  zucchini, corn on the cob, spinach, sweet potato fries...these are a few of her favs!

She loves to play catch!  Not joking.  We play with any toy, a block or a doll or whatever.  We toss it back and forth to each other and she loves it!  She actually has a pretty great arm and good aim!

She "chats" all the time.  Just babbles non-stop.  She looks at books and babbles, examines and plays with toys and babbles.  I wonder if she says more words than I realize and I just haven't picked up on a few yet.

And as far as all this "milestone" stuff goes, of course I find it tempting to compare Annie with other babies and worry if she isn't doing things as quickly.  I was encouraged this week in remembering that how my baby "sizes up" to other babies isn't the point.  The point is that all these milestones: learning words, walking, a maturing mind...its all just tiny steps closer to her loving her Saviour.  And so because of that, we will celebrate when she "waves" at the cashier at the store, or uses her sign for "all done"! Because someday she will use those hands to serve people, and that voice to sing God's praises and her mind will know Christ's great love for her.

xoxo

I think every new mom worries about those things, it's normal! She is so adorable and will grow up to have a beautiful heart for God just like her parents do! :)

PS its nice to see you blogging again, for some reason it seems like its been a really long time! <3
